Monfort Professor Chosen President-Elect of Academy Of Business Education

Members of the Academy of Business Education have unanimously elected Monfort College of Business Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs Sharon Clinebell president-elect of the national organization. Clinebell, who is also a professor of management, will serve as president of the organization in academic year 2013-14.

The multi-disciplinary association is dedicated to enhancing the teaching of business education and improving the learning environment through educational research, curriculum development and faculty development. It also publishes the Journal of Academy of Business Education.

Year-End Petty Cash Reimbursement Requests Due June 25

Departments with petty cash funds that require reimbursements for fiscal year 2011-12 should submit receipts and check requests to Accounts Payable by 4 p.m. Monday, June 25. These expenses will be recorded in the year-end processing. Please contact Terri Thomas at 351-1836 or Crystal Swain at 351-2472 with questions.

Year-End Processing Deadline for Check Requests, Purchase Orders, Travel Reimbursement

Noon on Tuesday, July 10, is the deadline for submitting check requests, departmental purchase orders, payments on purchase orders and travel reimbursements for fiscal year 2011-12 goods and services received by June 30. Accounts Payable staff ask that submitters be sure that the received dates are on or before June 30 when submitting any payment requests for fiscal year 2011-12.

New Tutoring Center Website Available

The Tutoring Center has launched its new website at http://www.unco.edu/asa/tutoring/index.html. The updated site includes information about all the center's programs and partnerships.

Campus Parking Lot Re-Striping Continues

Parking Services has purchased a painting machine and will be re-striping several campus parking lots as well as all crosswalks, stop bars, center lines and directional arrows during June. Please respect posted lot closures and exercise caution on roadways when re-striping is being done to help ensure the project is completed efficiently and safely. The schedule, which is weather-dependent, is:

  • All crosswalks, stop bars, center lines and directional arrows: June 11-15
  • J-lot, row 1-5: June 6
  • J-lot, row 6-10: June 13
  • V-lot: June 18
  • T-lot: June 19
  • U-lot: June 20
  • Z-East: June 20
  • UC loading dock: June 22 (closed one-half day)

Whenever feasible, sections of parking lots will be re-opened once they have been re-striped while work continues on other sections.
