Basketball Teams Begins Big Sky Play This Week

UNC's women's basketball team starts 2012-13 Big Sky Conference play at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, when it hosts conference newcomer North Dakota in Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion. Tickets for faculty and staff are $6 through the UNC Ticket Office or at the gate. The men's team travels to Grand Forks tomorrow, Dec. 21, to take on North Dakota.

Every Friday is Bear Pride Friday at UNC so show your school spirit by wearing school colors tomorrow. Whether it's a Bear Pride T-shirt, UNC logo wear or your regular clothes, show the rest of the world you're proud to be a Bear.

Talking and Listening Program has Openings for Employees’ Preschoolers

The Audiology and Speech Language Clinic will have several openings starting spring semester for preschool-aged children of UNC employees in its Talking and Listening with Preschools program.

TALP provides individual speech therapy along with a preschool class setting for children with or without language problems Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m.

Housing Seeks Help Identifying RA Applicants

Housing and Residential Education seeks faculty and staff's assistance in identifying students who might be interested in serving as resident assistants for the 2013-14 academic year. A position description, schedule of informational sessions in January, instructions for the application process and other information is available on the HRE website.

Applications will be taken in Ursa Dec. 19-Jan. 31.
