UNC's News and Public Relations office is looking for examples of initiatives undertaken by the campus community to help the less fortunate during the holidays. There's a variety of ways to find out if UNC is closed due to weather or for some other reason.

If you receive an emergency alert saying the university is closed, calling the UNC Police Department to confirm the information is not necessary.
Effective Jan. 1, the Colorado minimum wage will increase to $7.78 per hour from $7.64 per hour. Payroll Services will adjust hourly rates for all current employees who are making less than $7.78 per hour. No paperwork is needed for current employees.
EPAF originators should tale note of this and submit new employees at the new rate of $7.78 or higher.

The deadline for submitting final grades for fall semester courses is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec.19. Grades submitted after the deadline will negatively affect students' financial aid or graduation. Please direct questions to Michelle Heiny in the Registrar's Office, 351-1839. Grade explanations and instructions for assigning final grades are available on the Registrar's website.

A one-page informational document designed to enhance the use of WebXtender when travel advance requests are submitted is now available as a Word file on the Accounts Payable website. Since it pertains to UNC Visa Card (Pcard) reallocation, please share the document with administrative assistants in your area who may be assigned that task.
