Disability Support Services will host an open house for faculty and staff from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Michener L-80 to share information on resources and services available to UNC students with disabilities. Included will be assistive technology demonstrations, a Q&A session and tours of the DSS office.
Cookies and coffee will be provided.
Instead of a meeting to provide information about Amendment S, the Classified Staff Council and Human Resources have posted information on the CSC website. The purpose of the information is to provide a factual summary regarding the amendment and not to provide a conclusion or opinion in favor of or against the amendment.
Due to a room scheduling conflict, the Colorado Combined Campaign Chili Cook-Off has been moved to Tuesday, Dec. 4, same time (11 a.m-1 p.m.) and same place (University Center ballrooms). Visit with local charities and members of the UNC community while you eat a variety of homemade chili and freshly-baked cinnamon rolls for $3.
If you make an awesome chili, enter before 4 p.m. Friday, Nov.30, by emailing Lori Brachtenbach.
Trophies will be awarded for the most unique, best green and best red chili.
CETL and University Libraries will host a luncheon webinar on open access scholarly works and Creative Commons licenses from 12:30-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in Candelaria 1375. Details, including how to RSVP, are included in this PDF.
Parking Services has added a 30-minute option costing 50 cents to all 10 Pay to Park machines around campus. Only coins or a credit card can be used for the new option because the machines don't give change for bills.

Registration for UNC's 2012-13 Interim Session, which runs from Dec. 17-Jan. 11, is now open. Students in good academic standing who could benefit from earning credits over the Holiday Break are encouraged to consult the Interim Schedule of courses. All courses are offered only online. The requirement of earning 24 credit hours before being eligible to take Interim Session classes been lifted. Also, high school students are elibible to take the following courses for credit (courses not covered by the Concurrent Enrollment Plan; information on costs here).
