The Faculty Research and Publications Board invites full-time faculty to submit proposals for the Provost Awards for Travel. The winter deadline is Friday, Feb. 8. Please note the maximum travel award is $5,000, and for collaborative projects, multiple recipients of a single award will split the funds. Proposal guidelines and forms are available on the FRPB website.

The GLBTA Resource Office seeks faculty and staff to help grow a visible and supportive campus network of allies to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities by participating in one of the office's upcoming Safe Zone training sessions.
The training informs participants about issues surrounding the GLBTQ communities and how they can be supportive allies.

Faculty from the University of Northern Colorado's School of Music offer outstanding professional performances in intimate settings during the Artist Faculty Recital Series. The spring series kicks off Monday, Jan. 28, when John Adler, trumpet, and Gray Barrier, percussion, take the stage of the Hensel Phelps Theatre in the Union Colony Civic Center at 8 p.m. The schedule for the rest of the series is:
All recitals begin at 8 p.m. Monday recitals are in the Hensel Phelps Theatre at the Union Colony Civic Center. Tuesday recitals are in Milne Auditorium (room 2050) in Kepner Hall.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students, and are available through the Performing Arts Box Office at 351-2200.

The Dean of Students office is looking for a student speaker to represent the class of 2013 at the spring undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 11. If you know any students who'll be graduating with a GPA of 2.8 or higher, were involved in campus life and who would be interested in sharing their thoughts, encourage them to pick up application materials in the Dean of Students Office on the third floor of the University Center or download them from the DOS website.

Leave transfer has been approved for Clarence Roberts, who works for Facility Operations. Classified and exempt staff who accrue vacation hours may donate hours to help offset his leave without pay. A donation form is available on the Human Resources website or by calling HR at 351-2718.
