There will be a few brief (5-10 seconds) power outages for most West Campus buildings from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. today, Jan. 2, and tomorrow, Jan. 3, as crews continue work to add 100 percent generator power to the West Campus electrical distribution system. The only buildings that will not be affected are the Judy Farr Center, Nottingham Field and Patton House. Read more about the project.

Effective Jan. 1, the new state of Colorado mileage reimbursement rate is 51 cents per mile for an employee's use of their two-wheel-drive personal vehicle for university business.
This rate change is the result of the IRS mileage reimbursement rate increasing to 56.5 cents per mile effective Jan. 1 and CRS 24-9-104, which states that on and after Jan. 1, 2008, state officers and employees shall be allowed mileage reimbursement of 90 percent of the prevailing IRS rate per mile for each mile actually and necessarily traveled while on official state business and, when authorized to be utilized and necessary for official state business, 95 percent of the prevailing IRS rate per mile for four-wheel-drive vehicles (necessary because of road, terrain or adverse weather conditions) and 40 cents per nautical mile for privately owned aircraft.

Please forward any checks to UNC Foundation, Judy Farr Center, Campus Box 20. More information on end-of-year giving is on the Foundation website.
If you have any questions, contact Cynthia Evans, 351-1392.
