UNC Professor Details How Prairie Rattlesnakes Survive in Yellowstone for Discovery Channel Research by University of Northern Colorado Professor Stephen Mackessy provides evidence that a protein
in prairie rattlesnakes' venom has allowed them to adapt and survive in harsh environments, such as those in Yellowstone National Park. Mackessy presented his findings on a Discovery Channel program that aired last month.
