The UNC and Greeley communities will join forces Saturday, Sept. 6, in an attempt to break the world record for longest continuous chalk art drawing. Artists of all ages and experience levels are needed to cover 3.7 miles in chalk drawings.
The event, part of the city of Greeley's Greeley Unexpected campaign, will begin at 8 a.m. in the south University Center parking lots at the intersections of 11th Avenue and 22nd Street, and could go as late as 6 p.m.
The event is free -- all materials are provided -- and roving artists will be on hand to assist the project. The drawing will be broken up into six-foot squares, and participants working alone or in groups can stay to decorate as many as they please.
Registration is required to participate and can be done at the bottom of the Great Greeley Chalk-a-Lot web page.
