Don't Forget to Vote

If you haven't already voted, let your voice be heard during the Student Senate Elections. You can vote today and tomorrow (April 9-10) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. online by logging into Ursa at and selecting the Student Tab. Online voting will only be available when accessed by a computer on campus.

Voting will also be held in the University Center.

UPC Presents: Greeley Night Out

Greeley Night Out is Thursday, April 17, from 5-9 p.m. in the downtown Greeley area. The event includes dinner at the Rio, a movie at Kress Cinema and Lounge and a treat from Batter-Up Cupcakes. Transportation will not be provided.

Students can purchase tickets for $5 at the University Center Information Desk. The tickets will need to be exchanged for dinner, movie and dessert vouchers in the Student Activities Main Office on the second floor of the UC.

Childcare services are also available at a discount from ABC Child Development Center-Central, off 12th Ave. and 16th St. The fees are $15 for one child, $25 for two children and $30 for three children. Wear UNC Apparel for ‘College Friday’

Friday, April 11, UNC will join College in Colorado and schools and businesses in the state for "College Friday" to show support for education beyond high school. The event encourages Colorado residents to wear college apparel to work or school to raise awareness of the importance of higher education for Colorado's youth.

Anyone in college attire will receive $1 scoops with one free mix-in at Cold Stone Creamery, 4626 Centerplace Drive, up until 7 p.m. on Friday.

Center for Peer Education to Host Ruth's Amazing UNC Race

UNC's Center for Peer Education will host Ruth's Amazing UNC Race at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, on the University Center Patio as part of Ruth the Truth Fairy campaign. Grab some friends and form a team to complete fun tasks around campus while competing for cash prizes. Ruth the Truth Fairy's bedazzled and be-feathered cruiser bike will be raffled as well. After the event, participants are invited to a barbeque celebration (vegetarian option available).

Teams will consist of three to five people per team. If you don't have a team, you may register as a single participant and will be assigned to a team at the 2 p.m. check-in.

Registration forms are due by 5 p.m. Friday, April 18 in the Student Activities Office on the second floor of the UC. All participants must be current UNC students with valid Bear Numbers. To participate, you must sign a liability waiver and photo release at check-in.

Students Invited to Free Screening of "Reveal the Path"

In partnership with the University of Northern Colorado, Weld County invites UNC students to attend a free screening of the bicycle movie "Reveal the Path" at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at the Kress Cinema and Lounge, 817 8th Ave. Moviegoers are encouraged to ride their bicycles to the screening, as a free bike valet service will be provided. There will also be a short facilitated discussion about opportunities to increase walking and biking efforts in Greeley and Weld County.

Bear Catholic's Country Barn Dance to be Held April 12

All are welcome to attend Bear Catholic's second annual Country Barn Dance at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 12. A bonfire and volleyball also will be available. The barn is located on Weld CR 31 just off north CO SH 392 (the exact address will not be announced) and signs will lead you to the barn from there.

Carpooling will be available from the Catholic Campus Center (located on the corner of 19th St. and 8th Ave.) at 7 p.m.
