The makers of an innovative device placed inside a prosthetic to provide a more secure fit and monitor internal conditions will use the $25,000 they won in a UNC competition earlier this month to start fulfilling orders.

The softball team's game today with UNLV has been canceled due to snow on the Butler-Hancock fields. The ladies' home opener is now at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 29, in a double-header against North Dakota. The teams compete again in a single game on Saturday at 1 p.m. UNC's baseball team hosts South Dakota State for a three-game series starting Friday at 3 p.m. Check out the "Sports" link at the top of the page for more information. Keiko Krahnke, associate professor of Management at UNC, will discuss animal welfare and sustainable living in her presentation at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 1, in Spruce C (UC). Colorado Animal Rights Enthusiasts and the Students for Environmental Action, sponsors of the presentation, encourage students to attend and listen as Krahnke, who has extensive experience in animal rights, emphasizes the importance of these two issues.
UNC Relay for Life is looking for cancer survivors to honor during this year's event on Friday, April 5. If you're a survivor and not already registered to take part, sign up on the Relay for Life website. Survivors aren't required to walk but can if they want to. Check-in starts at 5:30 p.m., with the event starting at 6 p.m. and the survivor dinner being served at 6:45 p.m.
