Everhart's areas of expertise include finance, local government, leadership, management, marketing, communications, professional development, teamwork and developing strategic programs that lead to improved employee and organizational performance. He's served as a finance director and city manager in local government, executive director in higher education and consultant in the private and public sector.
Drawing on his experience of managing a city, combined with the business owner’s perspective of local government, Everhart provides professional development and coaching to municipalities to improve employee and organizational productivity.

Everhart has the practical experience of managing numerous organizations and developing the appropriate culture that leads to management and marketing success. Combined with concepts and theory, students and clients improve their ability to communicate, lead teams, and achieve success.
Everhart pulls from his experience in consulting, local government, private sector management and higher education administration to provide examples in the classroom to help students understand complex management and leadership concepts. Everhart also uses the same advanced concepts to develop new models of success for consulting clients in both local government and the private sector.
