He holds a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Washington, diploma and master's degree from Regent College (University of British Columbia), and master's and doctoral degrees in Historical Theology from the University of Notre Dame. His expertise in religion includes: the history of early Christian thought, St. Augustine and heresy.
