New UNC President to Visit Fort Collins

University of Northern Colorado President Kay Norton will visit alumni and friends of the university and outline her goals at a luncheon at noon Friday, Aug. 9, at the Holiday Inn-University Park, 425 W. Prospect Road.
The event is sponsored by the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce. Norton will be introduced by Colorado State University President Albert Yates.
Norton became UNC's 12th president in July. She is the first woman to hold the post at the 113-year-old university. She has been at UNC since 1998. Before becoming president, she served for four years as UNC's vice president for university affairs, general counsel and secretary to the Board of Trustees. Before coming to UNC, Norton practiced law for 22 years in government, corporate settings and private practice.
