Army’s Special Operations Mobile Simulator to Visit UNC

Anybody who wants a taste of what it's like to be a soldier in today's Army will have a chance when a high-tech, interactive mobile simulator unit visits the University of Northern Colorado campus Jan. 24-25.

The U.S. Army's Special Operations mobile display truck will be in B lot, directly south of the University Center, intersection of 10th Avenue and 20th Street. Free tours will be available 7 a.m.-7 p.m. both days.

Housed in a self-contained, climate-controlled, semi-truck trailer, the mobile display unit includes separate parachuting, ground vehicle, unmanned flight vehicle and attack helicopter simulators, soldier equipment and weapon displays, "America's Army" gaming stations and a dog tag machine.

The unit is staffed by Army recruiters who are available to answer questions and provide additional information.
The simulator unit's visit is hosted by UNC's Veterans Services and ROTC programs.
