CETL Expands with New Faculty Fellows Initiative

The Center the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning's new Faculty Fellows initiative welcomes the first four Faculty Fellows who will initially serve a one-year term working collaboratively with CETL's Associate Director for Faculty Development Deborah Romero to support faculty across their colleges and the institution.

The 2012-13 fellows were selected from the colleges of Education and Behavioral Sciences (Susan Hutchinson, Ph.D.), Humanities and Social Sciences (Nancy Matchett, Ph.D.), Monfort College of Business ( Sharon Clinebell, DBA), and the University Libraries (Andrea Falcone, MLS, MA).

The fellows were selected based on their demonstrated successful experience with teaching and learning strategies, in either face-to face classroom, online or hybrid environments. In addition, all the fellows have a proven interest in the advancement of the scholarship of teaching and learning and their capacity and enthusiasm to work collegially within the college and beyond.

For more information about the Faculty Fellows initiative, visit the CETL website.

Insight Reporting Portal to be Improved

The Insight reporting portal will undergo a change Saturday, Sept. 8, to feature a fresh-looking page that no longer requires you to log into Ursa and then re-authenticate to Insight. Instead, you'll go to the Insight public page at insight.unco.edu and sign on there to get to your individual views. Additional information, including a screen shot of what you'll see and new features, is available in this PDF.

Pedestrian Safety Reminder

With the start of a new academic year and increased numbers of pedestrians, dogs, skateboarders, bicyclists, in-line skaters and other forms of transportation on campus, please remember to travel courteously and safely along walkways, streets and parking lots.

This is especially important when traveling near individuals with disabilities including those using guide/service dogs, wheelchairs or other adaptive measures for whom well-meaning but over-exuberant dogs, rapidly approaching/overtaking bikes, boards, etc. and other sudden changes in the flow of traffic can be hazardous. Also, dog owners are reminded to pick up after their pets to help make campus a cleaner and safer place.
