Bears Win Regular Season Big Sky Title

The women's basketball made history Wednesday night by clinching the program's first outright Big Sky regular season title with a 63-60 win over Portland State.The win also gives the Bears (22-6, 14-3 Big Sky) the top seed in next week's Big Sky Tournament in Reno, Nevada. Continue Reading

UNC Instructor to Screen Her Film on Human Trafficking

Emilie Upczak will screen her new film, "Moving Parts," as part of the university's International Film Series. The screening will be held in the Lindou Auditorium in the Michener Library basement at 7 p.m. on March 7. The film will be followed by a Q&A session with Upczak for audience members to discuss the film, filmmaking process, or any other questions. Continue Reading

Save the Date for Appreciation Week, April 9-13

The Division of Development and Alumni Relations hosts this annual event to encourage awareness of the impact of philanthropy on campus and to celebrate what makes UNC special to all Bears. During Appreciation Week, students, faculty and staff will be able to share their appreciation for UNC with the community by filling out and displaying Appreciation Cards at tables around campus. Save the Date: Distinguished Scholars Luncheon and Faculty Research Poster Session

Please join the celebration during Academic Excellence week to celebrate faculty research and honor the A.M. & Jo Winchester Distinguished Scholar, college scholars and OSP awardees. The Distinguished Scholars Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, April 4. Formal invitations with RSVP information for the luncheon will be sent soon. Open Forums March 8 for Career Services' Testing Services Manager

Career Services invites the campus community to meet with, ask questions of and provide feedback during the following open forums next week for candidates for the position of testing manager:

  • Nathan Fields: Wednesday, Mar. 8; 9:30-10:00 a.m.; University Center, Spruce A
  • Mace Castillo: Wednesday, Mar. 8; 2:15-2:45 p.m.; University Center, Spruce A Copies of the candidate's resume will be available at the forum.

The testing manager administers and oversees CLEP exams, course exams, graduate school entrance exams, correspondence/distance learning exams, certification/licensure exams, and undergraduate entrance exams.
