Call for Nominations: Staff Councils' Employee of the Year Awards

The Classified Staff Council and the Professional Administrative Staff Council are accepting nominations for their 2018 Employee of the Year awards, which recognize one classified and one exempt employee who consistently goes above and beyond in their work and makes a difference in the university community. Details and the joint CSC & PASC nomination form for the Employee of the Year awards are available here. Deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. March 9. Anyone can submit a nomination. The awards will be presented at the 47th Annual Employee Recognition and Service Milestone Awards Banquet on March 26.

Donald & Karen Bailey Biennial Choral Festival

Date Change: UNC-Air Force Wrestling Match

The UNC wrestling team's dual against Air Force has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, due to the individual record reporting deadline for the Big 12 Championships taking place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, March 3-4. The dual was originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21. Big 12. All tickets originally purchased for the dual on Feb. 21 will be accepted at the door on Sunday, Feb. 18. schools must submit final individual season records by Monday, Feb. 19. Tickets for the dual are $8 for adults and $5 for youth. Sunday marks the final day the results can be counted towards a wrestler's season record. The season records are a key component for seeding in the Big 12 Championships, which will also help wrestlers in qualifying for the NCAA Championships.

Cannabis Research Interest Group to Host Seminar Feb. 22

UNC's Cannabis Research Interest Group (CRIG) will host a seminar titled "Real-time assessment and intervention associated with marijuana use in the college environment" on Feb. 22, from 4-5 p.m., in Candelaria 1260. The seminar will be presented by Kristina Phillips, Michael Phillips (associate professors, School of Psychological Sciences), and Trent Lalonde (associate professor, Applied Statistics and Research Methods.) This event is open to anyone interested. RSVPs are not required. Light refreshments will be provided. Spring semester's remaining CRIG seminars will be held March 22 and April 19, from 4-5 p.m., in Candelaria 1260.
