Trustees Announce Presidential Leadership Characteristics, Search Firm

The UNC Board of Trustees announced the presidential leadership characteristics sought in the next president during a special meeting yesterday. The nine characteristics were informed by the presidential search committee, consisting of trustees and six faculty, staff and student representatives, and by a survey that solicited feedback from campus, community and alumni. New Version of Banner Available Nov. 6

On Monday, Nov. 6, Banner 9 Admin pages will become available within Ursa. This new version of Banner will provide an updated interface to the current Banner 8 system. Banner 8 will still be available for end users while they become accustomed to the new look and feel. If you have any technical issues, contact the Technical Support Center at 351-4357.

Winners of Classified Staff Halloween Costume Contest Announced

The Classified Staff Council held its annual costume contest Tuesday, with the Biological Sciences Department winning a lunch of up to $150 in the group category and Brenda Rodriguez from Housing and Residential Education winning a lunch of up to $50 in the individual category. Photos of the winners can be viewed on the CSC website.

PASC Chili Cook-Off Seeks Competitors, Tasters

PASC's annual Chili Cook-Off from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, in the University Center Panorama Room seeks competitors and judges. If you make a great chili, enter for free to compete for prizes for the best red, white, green and unique chili as determined by judges -- cook-off attendees. Tickets will be $5 at the door, with proceeds going to PASC's Helping Hands initiative. More info and a link to the entry form are available on the PASC website.

UNC, CSU Add Exhibition Basketball Game to Benefit Hurricane Relief

The University of Northern Colorado men's basketball team added an extra exhibition game to its 2017-18 schedule in efforts to help with hurricane relief in Puerto Rico. The Bears will make the short trip over to Fort Collins to play the Colorado State Rams at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5. The proceeds from the game will go to hurricane relief in Puerto Rico. Slots for Free Blood Screenings at Health and Benefits Fair Still Available

A few slots are still available for the free blood screening and flu shot being offered at Human Resources' open enrollment health and benefits fair from 7-11a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, in the University Center's Panorama Room. Sign up for a slot using this online form. The fair also will include representatives from MetLife, TIAA, VALIC, PERA, Thrivent Financial, AXA Advisors, 24 Hour Flex, and Anthem will be in attendance.

Open enrollment for faculty and professional administrative employees will run Nov. 1-22.
