UNC Writing Center open for Spring Semester

UNC's Writing Center is a free service for enrolled students, faculty and staff. Representatives from the center are available to visit classes and present a brief introduction of the services offered, which include writing assistance for all writing and useful handouts covering almost every writing concern. To schedule a class presentation, email Crystal Brothe, providing three days advance notice to facilitate scheduling. Faculty can also refer students directly to the center, which is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday in Ross 1230. Learn more at the Writing Center's website.

Calling All Experts: Share Your Knowledge

University News and Public Relations invites faculty and staff to be part of UNC's Experts List, which is shared with reporters who are seeking sources to provide perspective on relevant topics. See examples of university coverage at the UNC in the News website.

News and PR staff also rely on the list in working with Academic Minute, a program that airs on radio stations across the country. The Academic Minute is open to faculty who would like to record a 100-second essay related to their area of expertise. Email Nate Haas for more about this opportunity.

If you'd like to be included in the UNC Experts List, fill out the online registration form.

If you're already included in the list and would like to make changes to your entry, email the revisions uncnews.service@unco.edu.
