Use Caution as Icy Conditions Exist on Campus

Please use caution while traveling on campus today as snow removal exposed icy conditions in campus parking lots and walks. Crews have been removing snow and applying ice melt, but there will be slick spots. To report an area of concern, call Facilities at 970-351-2446.

In Memory: UNC Today Editor Gary Dutmers

Gary Dutmers, a longtime UNC employee and editor of the UNC Today campus newsletter, died Jan. 18 surrounded by his family. A versatile writer and meticulous editor with more than 25 years of communication experience, Dutmers served in UNC's marketing and news and public relations offices since 2005. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, in The Garden Room, 697 Denver Ave. in Loveland. Read the Online Tribute

VPN Tool Being Upgraded

Information Management & Technology is upgrading the university's Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution to a new tool -- Cisco AnyConnect. To download the new tool and access VPN realms today, click here. The current VPN tool -- Pulse Secure -- will not work after 7 a.m. on Jan. 25. If you have any questions or if you would like technical assistance, please contact the Technical Support Center at 970-351-4357.

UNC Sustainable Bears: Tip of the Week

Let that sun in to stay warm. Open up your blinds/curtains during daytime in winter to let some extra heat in to decrease heating loads. Open blinds/curtains in your room/office for 4 hours a day during sunniest times, for a week.
