Printable Summit Information

The National Center on Severe and Sensory Disabilities with the help and sponsorship of the Bresnahan-Halstead Center at the University of Northern Colorado hosted Fifth Research Summit on Low-Incidence Disabilities. Researchers from around the country discussed the unique challenges of doing rigorous, valid research in populations that comprise less than 1/4 of 1% of the school age population of the U.S. This group of children -- blind, deaf, and those with severe disabilities -- represent some of the largest challenges in educational research.

Included in this year's Summit was training in the use of the SEELS and NLTS2 data bases. We also offered an SPSS refresher session prior to the SEELS and NLTS2 training.
