Welcome Transfer Students!

The College of Natural and Health Sciences (NHS) is a great place to pursue a degree and the University of Northern Colorado campus has many resources to help you feel welcome and supported as a transfer student.

As a transferring student, you will want to visit the admissions transfer website to understand how to get started with an application to become a student at the University of Northern Colorado.

You will receive an email in your BearMail account from orientation@unco.edu with a link to access the online orientation within a week of being admitted to UNC. All incoming transfer students are required to complete online orientation. If you would like to attend the optional in-person Transfer and Nontraditional Welcome, you can find details and register on the orientation website.

Contacting Your Advisor

After the online orientation has been completed, the next step to your first semester at UNC is academic advising for course evaluation and registration. Below is information on who to contact in your major for advising. If you reached out to an advisor and have not heard a response from them within a week, please email Beckie Croissant, Student Services Specialist, for additional support.

Prior to your advising appointment:

1. Please make sure you have submitted your unopened official transcripts to UNC for processing so that your advisor will have an accurate list of the courses you have completed and how they transferred into the university.

2. Login to URSA account and learn how to register for courses so that you can do this during your conversation with your advisor.
