Dr. Francie R. Murry is a Professor in the School of Special Education. She attended Central Washington University for her B.A. in Elementary Education and Special Education, her earned her M.A. in Special Education, and her Ph.D. in Special Education at the University of Virginia.  Dr. Murry taught K-12 grades in public schools and private juvenile facilities for 10 years in Washington and Virginia.  In addition to her 15 years at UNC, she has also taught at the University of Wyoming and at Central Washington University.  Her area of expertise is youth with challenging behaviors which cause academic problems.
