Jennifer Nez Denetdale [Dine'] is assistant professor of History at the University of New Mexico. She teaches Native American History, Navajo history, and courses on Native women. Her articles on Navajo history have been published in the American Indian Culture and Research Journal and New Mexico Historical Review. Her book on the nineteenth century Dine' leader Manuelito and his wife Juanita will be published by the University of Arizona Press, 2007. Dr. Denetdale's expertise in Native American history includes examinations of the connections between oral tradition and history.
