A day long event full of hands-on activities, informational seminars, and in depth exploration of widely varied topics about the Middle Ages will be held. See below for the spectacular listing of tentative classes and workshops. If you've ever wanted to find out more about what it was really like in the Middle Ages - this is the perfect chance!

A&S Silent Auction

Site Fees

Pre-registration by March 23 is recommended for everyone for discounted pricing. Pre-payment is not required - just e-mail your reservation information by the deadline and then pay on site.

Pre-registration is absolutely required for the catered lunch (see below)

  • Adults - $7 registered by March 23 or $10 after March 23
  • Adults - Additional $5 non-member fee (applies to everyone without a current SCA membership)
  • Youth (7-14) - $3 registered by March 23 or $5 after March 23
  • Family cap is $21 if registered by March 23 or $30 at the door.
  • Midday Catered Lunch Feast is $10 for everyone 7 & over. Children under 6 are free. Must be reserved by March 23. RESERVATION INFORMATION.

Feast

Midday Feast will be served from Noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Feast Hall in the Panorama room.

No offboard seating (those who are not choosing the feast option) is allowed in the Feast Hall during the midday feast, unless you have food restrictions that prevent you from having that meal (University rules).

The midday catered lunch feast is $10. Youths 6 and under are free. All feasts must be prereserved by March 23. See below for reservation information.

Vegetarian

Coconut Red Curry Vegetables * Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Eggplant, Bell Peppers, Potatoes, Carrots and Onions cooked in a rich coconut Red Curry Sauce garnished with Fresh Chopped Cilantro; accompanied by Jasmine Rice, Red Curry Sauce, Fried Cilantro

Beef

Diplomats Beef Stroganoff * Named after 19th Century Russian diplomat Paul Stroganov, this dish may be a bit anachronistic, but is sure to be delicious! Tender pieces of beef cooked with onions and mushrooms and finished with sour cream and a touch of fine brandy; accompanied by Rice Pilaf, Ribbon Summer Squash

Coffee, Tea and Iced Tea will be served.

 

Feast gear

You do not need feast gear for this meal, as the caterer will supply plates, etc.  You may place decorative items on the tables (no candles) during the lunch.  Immediately following lunch we will be breaking down the tables, so all items will need to be removed.

Pre-registration for the Midday Catereed Lunch Feast is mandatory by March 23.

Note - if you reserve the lunch, you cannot cancel at the door. We have to prepay for the lunches.

Directions & Parking information

Directions to the UNC University Center

  • Directions from I-25: From the north or south on I-25, take the Hwy 34, Greeley Exit 257.
  • Go East on Hwy 34 --DO NOT TAKE THE BUSINESS ROUTE.
  • Turn left [north] on 11th Avenue [stoplight].  Turn right [east] on 20th Street [stoplight].
  • One block - Turn right (south) at stoplight on 10th Ave.
  • Parking is available in the lot immediately on your right or in the south lot two entrances down.
  • Parking is free on weekends, and you may park in meters without feeding them.

Parking

Parking is free on weekends - no need to feed the meters or purchase a parking pass. There are two large parking lots. One is on the south side and one on the north side. Either parking lot is fine to park in. The upper level of the north parking lot is the closest to the event location.

Overnight Accomodations

Are you coming from out of town? We can help find you overnight accomodations. Contact Safiyya for information on space available.

YOuth/Minors

Please note that minors must be accompanied by their parents or guardians or have appropriate paperwork. The SCA Outlands policy regarding minors applies to this event. Minors without their parents must have the appropriate signed and notarized Guardian Consent Forms. See Outlands Kingdom SCA Website.

There will be a large children's activity room on the same floor/off of the same hallway as most of the adult classes are held. Parents or guardians must accompany all children under the age of 4 at all times. For other children, when there are sufficient adult volunteers, there will be a sign in/sign out sheet for parents to sign their children into the activity classes. The children's activity coordinators have the right to request that parents stay with their children at any time.
