Biography

Hi everyone, my name is Deandra Elcock. I am a Colorado native, born and raised in Longmont. I’m currently a junior majoring in Sports and Exercise Science and minoring in Nutrition.  I have aspirations of obtaining my Ph.D. in Physical Therapy, and later  obtaining a degree in Sports Medicine. I’m involved with the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute on campus, as well as UNC athletics. I run track and field here for the university as a heptathlete. I’m very ecstatic and grateful for the opportunity to be a McNair Scholar, and all of the positive repercussions that will follow.
