Biography

Hello! My name is Zekarias Ashenafi and I am currently a fourth year student here at the University of Northern Colorado majoring in Biological Sciences with a pre-medicine emphasis and minoring in Chemistry. I am from Aurora, Colorado.  As a senior college student, I am preparing myself for the next level of education. I am planning to pursue a double major in graduate school because I have two major academic goals that I want to achieve in my life. First and foremost, I would like to pursue my dream to become a medical doctor. I have had this passion since I was a little kid. And my second dream is to pursue a PhD in medical research. Something unique about me is that I was born in Ethiopia and moved to the U.S. when I was in my teens. Also, this year I am a diversity mentor in Harrison Hall.
