Organization Resources - Interpreting Related

The National Consortium of Interpreter Education Centers (NCIEC) is involved in many activities in service to interpreters and interpreter-related programs.

Among the priorities are projects relating to:

Discover Interpreting is a website that promotes interpreting as a career. It provides resources for aspiring interpreters, recruitment supplies for interpreting program faculty and administrators, and information for interpreters who wish to serve as “ambassadors.”

PEPNet is an organization that provides resources and expertise in improving transitional and educational services for students who are deaf/hard of hearing. PEPNet has four regional centers that provide best practices, training, technical assistance and resources to educational institutions. Check out their resources on their website.

The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf is a national organization of members who work as professional sign language-English interpreters.

The VRS Interpreting Institute (VRSII) offers classes on current interpreting topics to ASL interpreting educators and students.
