Friends of the University of Northern Colorado Libraries

2008 Activities

On Tuesday May 13, 2008, twenty-five members and guests attended the Friends of the University of Northern Colorado luncheon and annual membership meeting.

During lunch President John Dietz asked members to tell the audience which author they would like to bring to our meeting. A short business meeting followed the luncheon. Each officer as well as the Library Dean gave a report on activities for the year.

Kay Lowell, Archival Services Librarian, presented a program on “Japanese Animation and Manga: What They Are and Why They Matter.” She showed and discussed many of the items that she had collected through the years. Members then had an opportunity to watch a short video that Kay Lowell created for a educational technology class that she took several years ago.
