INTERNATIONAL GLADIOLUS HALL OF FAME
RECORD GROUP SC7

The International Gladiolus Hall of Fame was an idea conceived by gladiolus grower Sidney L. Baldridge of Greeley, Colorado, USA.   He worked with University of Northern Colorado President, Richard R. Bond; Dean of University Libraries, Dr. Claude J. Johns; and Chair of the Department of Biological Sciences, Dr. John Gaptor, to create a home for the Hall of Fame.

At its 1980 convention, the North American Gladiolus Council dedicated the International Gladiolus Hall of Fame in the James A. Michener Library at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.  It is a repository for gladiolus literature from throughout the world and honors both outstanding gladiolus varieties and persons who have notably contributed to gladiolus culture.

A Selection Board comprised of Hall of Fame officers, board members, associate vice presidents and advisors receives nominations for potential inductees and selects new honorees annually.
