Acquisitions books. 1892-1938
This is a series of 20 large acquisition books beginning with the first library book recorded as acquired on September 5, 1892: E. B. Lytton's Strange Story
Separate columns show date of acquisition, author, title, publisher, and date, and have space for remarks to be added later, such as "withdrawn," "lost," "worn out," and "rebound."
There is room for 5,000 books to be recorded in each volume, and the twentieth volume gives the 100,000th accession on June 14, 1938.
The blank volumes were purchased from the Library Bureau in Boston, and are referred to as Standard Accession Books, having been developed by Melvil Dewey.  The first 18 pages give the American Library Association accession rules of the time, and list Dewey's "Library Abbreviations" and some of his innovations for library notations.

Training School acquisition book. 1910-1932
This is a smaller size acquisition book that includes primary and secondary level school materials.  The number of copies purchased indicates that these books were used as texts for the Training School, although there is no notation on the volume itself.
The first acquisition was recorded on September 20, 1910, and this was a purchase of 18 copies of Katherine Chandler's In the Reign of Coyote.
This acquisition book is potentially useful for a study of the materials used for the curriculum in one of the outstanding laboratory schools of the time.
