FILE 10 Class Profiles 1964-1992
Profiles of the entering class were begun as early as 1964.  Printed on a single or double-sided 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet during the 1970s and into the 1980s.  They were given fairly wide distribution.

Data include:
  Applications received, approved, freshmen enrolled
Percentage by high school class rank
  Percentage older freshmen
  Geographic distribution by home locations
  Relationship to UNC alumni
  Ratio of public-private secondary education
Types and amounts of financial assistance
  ACT test scores
Courses of study for men and women enrolled
The date of the Profile refers to the date of expected graduation.  For example, the Profile published in the fall of 1970 is for the class of 1974.  Some enrollment data is given for classes other than the freshman class.  Archives does not have a complete set.

This information is continued in UNC Factbook 1992-  RG8 S3 F12).
