Change of status and contract forms. 1966-1980 |
| This is a set of 44 volumes bound in orange or black, by year, or quarter, with faculty member names more or less in alphabetical order. The volumes include the original contracts signed by all parties, together with change of status forms for non-tenured faculty and graduate assistants. They also contain leave applications, and promotion correspondence for tenured faculty together with correspondence from department chairs and deans. The cover title is "Change of Status and Contract Forms." |
| Faculty contracts contain the following information: personal data, educational background, employment history at UNC and elsewhere, payroll information, budget allocation, teaching assignment, and conditions of employment. |
| Once tenured, a faculty member would not have received an annual contract unless there was some change in status. |
| Change of status forms, which presumably went to the Trustees for approval, show present and new status. |

Faculty contracts. 1966-1973 |
| This is a set of eight bound volumes of miscellaneous contracts for the years 1966-1973. The binding title is "Faculty Contracts." There are a number of special assignment forms for persons such as: guest lecturers, resource teachers at local schools and other such employment. Because it is difficult to determine which contract will be found in this set or the one above, they are shelved together chronologically. |

| This is a single volume of contracts which were replaced, amended, or voided. The actual working contract is located elsewhere. |

| This volume contains 1) requests for sabbatic leave and/or other leaves, 2) change of status forms regarding position, title or salary distribution or basis of service, 3) and also faculty appointments. |

| These contracts are for faculty employed under summer quarter of 1965 and 1966. Includes guest lecturers, instructors, guest faculty, guest speakers, and temporary instructors. |
