On December 11, 1985, the Board of Trustees approved a motion that "the University of Northern Colorado convert to an early semester calendar, effective Fall 1988. At the opening of the Fall Quarter 1985, President Dickeson had called for a study of a possible conversion to a semester system. An Academic Conversion Council was established with John Gapter as chair. By July 1986, a Semester Conversion Task Force was established with Richard Trahan as chair. |
