		On December 11, 1985, the Board of Trustees approved a motion that "the University of Northern Colorado convert to an early semester calendar, effective Fall 1988. At the opening of the Fall Quarter 1985, President Dickeson had called for a study of a possible conversion to a semester system. An Academic Conversion Council was established with John Gapter as chair. By July 1986, a Semester Conversion Task Force was established with Richard Trahan as chair.
14-1			Semester Conversion Newsletter
				This newsletter was first published on January 13, 1986. It was intended to communicate with faculty and staff of the University on the planning for conversion to the semester system.

				In this group, there are about 40 file folders, one for each academic department. The folders include information on all programs, the administration of the programs, required and elective courses, course outlines, contents and requirements.
