University Archives: RG1 TRUSTEES
S2 Minutes of the Trustees 1889-1972

Original Minutes for the period 1889 through 1911 for the Colorado State Normal School were located in 1986, a copy was made, and the originals sent back to the State Archives.

In 1985, five volumes of Minutes for the period 1911 through 1964 (which include the periods the institution was named the Colorado State Teachers College, the Colorado State College of Education, and the first seven years of Colorado State College) were borrowed from the State Archives for photocopying.

Although there was one College, after a period it had more than one location: Greeley, Alamosa, and Gunnison.  There was one Board of Trustees, and members usually included a local resident member from each location.  They were appointed to an executive committee for each location.  The minutes include those for the entire board and for each executive committee.
