State Normal School

An act to establish, govern and maintain a State Normal School.  Senate Bill 104 approved April 1, 1889.

 

 

1911

State Teachers College of Colorado

An act to make the State Normal School at Greeley the State Teachers College of Colorado.  House Bill 258 filed June 5, 1911.  Not signed or disapproved by the Governor.

 

 

1935

Colorado State College of Education, at Greeley

An act to change the name of the "State Normal School at Greeley" to "Colorado State College of Education, at Greeley".  Senate Bill 305 approved February 16, 1935.

 

 

1957

Colorado State College

An act changing the name of the "Colorado State College of Education, at Greeley" to the "Colorado State College" and changing the name of the "Trustees of the State Normal Schools" to the "Trustees of the State Colleges in Colorado".  Senate Bill 14 approved February 11, 1957.

 

 

1970

University of Northern Colorado

An act changing the name of "Colorado State College" to the "University of Northern Colorado".  Senate Bill 13 approved April 14, 1970; effective May 1, 1970.
