The University of Northern Colorado Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists was formed Fall Semester 2002. Its purpose is to serve as an organization for the professional development of students seeking careers in mass media and asssociated fields. Everyone is welcome to join. The chapter serves as a link to both the National Association of Black Journalists and the Colorado Association of Black Journalists. These organizations provide internships, professional development courses, scholarships and links to hundreds of working professionals.
