The stories and graphics on this site are the work of students in the JMC410 Advanced News & Feature Writing class at the University of Northern Colorado. It's the capstone class for journalism majors concentrating on news-editorial. A major component of the class is covering a beat. By the end of the semester, each study will write three major articles on his or her beat -- a day in the life, a profile and an opinion column. Stories were divided into four categories -- campus, off-campus, sports and opinion.
