Requirements:
The VPN client for Macs requires an OS X or greater
operating system.

Downloading the Software:
Visit http://domain-vpn.unco.edu/UNCvpnmac49.dmg
A username and password is required to access this site.
Enter your domain login in the format first.last@unco.edu or unco1\first.last.
The Downloads screen will appear and begin
the download process of the installer file.

Installing
the Software:
The Installer file will be saved to
your desktop. Double click the CiscoVPNClient disk image icon.
The disk image window will open. Doubleclick on the Cisco
VPN Client.mpkg icon.
The Welcome to the Cisco VPN Client Installer screen
will open. Click the continue button.
The Software License Agreement will display.
Click the continue button.
You will be prompted to agree to the terms of the software license
agreement. Click the agree button.
You will be prompted to select a location for the installation of the
software. Slect the mac hard drive and click continue.
Click install to continue with the installation of the
software.
You will be prompted to authenticate on your local
machine. Enter your local user name and password.
The installation will progress showing the time remaining for the
installation of the software.
The next screen will show that the software was
successfully installed.
You will need to restart
you computer before you will be able to use the newly installed software.

Using VPN:
Navigate to your application folder. The VPNClient
program will be displayed. Double click on the "CiscoVPN" program.
In the VPN client window, click the "new" icon to create a new connection.
On the Create New VPN Connection Entry screen,
you will need to complete the following information:
Connection Entry: UNCO.EDU
Host: unc-vpn.unco.edu
Group Authentication:
Name: unco.edu (must be all lower
case letters)
Password: enter bears1 (must be
all lower case letters)
Confirm Password: enter bears1
(must be all lower case letters)
Click Save
From the Connection Entries tab, double
click the entry you just created.
You will be prompted to enter your UNC
network username and password, then click OK.
You will know you are connected to the UNC
VPN when you see connection status (see below). Minimize the VPN Client.
To disconnect from the UNC VPN, maximize the
VPN Client window and select disconnect.
