Currently, UNC provides 46 faculty/staff modems and 92 student modems operating at the speed of 56 K. If you have difficulty connecting to our modem banks due to the limited number of connections available, you might want to try one of the free/low cost local internet access providers.
All users must establish a UNC internet account before access is allowed. Students will need to use their student email account and faculty and staff will need to establish a Remote Access account by calling the Technical Support Center at 351-4357.
