Enrollment Information Page

UNC offers a winter interim session which runs between fall and spring semesters. Current UNC students will be limited to the following:

  • You may take up to four credit hours during the Interim Session. No overloads will be permitted.
  • If you are on academic probation then you may not enroll in the Interim Session.
  • You must have completed 24 hours of college credit prior to enrolling in the Interim Session.

If you are a new undergraduate student planning to attend interim semester only, submit the Student Information Form found on the Registrar's website . Enrollment in the interim semester is independent of admission for fall and spring semesters. To enroll as a regular on-going student, contact the Admissions Office at admissions@unco.edu.

If you are a new graduate student planning to attend interim as an unclassified graduate student please complete and submit the Student Information Form. To enroll in a graduate program please contact the Graduate School.

Do it early! Many interim courses are contingent upon sufficient enrollment. Register for classes as early as possible to increase the likelihood of getting the class you want. Course cancellations generally are announced on or before the first day of class, and efforts are made to notify you before the class starts.

You may select most courses by accessing Ursa. Schedule of Classes and registration information are available at www.registrar.unco.edu, select "registration." New students or students not enrolled since Fall 2010 must complete the student information form available on the Registrar's website. Once you complete and submit the form you will be notified by e-mail with instructions for accessing Ursa.

Course Load

You may register for up to four credit hours. No exceptions to the four credit limit will be accepted.

Dropping Courses

The Drop Deadline occurs at 15% of the class time. You may drop individual classes during the Drop Period without charge. For specific Drop Deadlines access the Registrar's website. If you are dropping your only class, please contact the Registrars Office at 970-351-2231.

Withdrawing From Courses

The individual class withdrawal deadline occurs at 50% of the class time. You may withdraw from individual classes by web or in person. Withdrawn classes show up on your transcripts but do not affect your GPA. You will be responsible for tuition charges for all withdrawn classes. To withdraw from your only class please contact the Registrar's Office at 970-351-2231.
