Instructional Design and Development
Kathy Zellers has been working in higher education and experimenting with innovative uses of online technology in education for 18 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English/Creative Writing, a Master of Arts in Communications Development, and a Master of Business Science in Computer Information Systems. In addition to teaching composition, Kathy has also worked professionally in non-profit management, graphic design, web design and architecture, instructional design, educational technology, and project management. Before joining the Instructional Design and Development team at UNC’s Extended Campus, Kathy worked as the Lead Instructional Designer for the nine-campus Online Instruction Pilot Project at the University of California, as the Lead Instructional Designer for an educational technology startup in Washington, DC, and as contractor for CSU Global Campus and CSU College of Liberal Arts. Kathy is happy to be back in Colorado for good, and is delighted to be a part of the Instructional Design and Development team at UNC’s Extended Campus.
