Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were Rabbit
(Britain, 2005, 85 min.)
Hilarious and clever, Wallace and Gromit: the Curse of the Were Rabbit is a family friendly film aimed at arousing laughter and enjoyment.  Wallace and Gromit manage an “anti-pesto” pest control company that serves the neighborhood by humanely removing rabbit infestations.  After developing a new method gone wrong, a mutated rabbit ravages the neighbors’ vegetable gardens and threatens to ruin the annual Giant Vegetable Competition.  Wallace and Gromit attempt to save the day in this comical family film.  Actors Peter Sallis, (Wallace), Ralph Fiennes (Victor Quartermaine), and Helena Bonham Carter (Lady Campanula Tottington),  band together to populate a magical world of scientific catastrophes and blundering cover-ups. Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit, directed by Steve Box and Nick Park, is the winner of the 2006 Academy Award Oscar for Best Animated Film of the Year and winner of the 2006 Annie Award for Best Directed and Best Music Animated Feature.
