Hellgate (Thailand, 2011, 93 min.)
After surviving a dramatic car accident, Jeff Matthews, played by Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride and Robin Hood: Men in Tights), begins seeing terrifying and life-altering visions that entrap his soul in a world of agony and torment.  Warren Mills, played by William Hurt (Into the Wild), a spiritual guide, assists Matthews as he attempts to distance his soul from the petrifying reality of purgatory.  Directed by John Penney, Hellgate illustrates the veracity of purgatory, the horror of reality, and the return to normalcy.  Winner of the Best Film Award at the Bram Stoker International Film Festival and the Best Horror Film at the Fantasy Horror Awards in Italy, Hellgate is a horrifically fascinating tale.
