A feel good comedy wrapped in chocolate and awkwardness, Romantics Anonymous takes an amusing look at the difficulties faced by two introverted lovers. Written by Philippe Blasband and Jean-Pierre Ameris, the film, also directed by Ameris, is a uniquely colored film filled with the unexpected. Angelique Delange (Isabelle Carre) is hired by the company’s CEO Jean-Rene Van Den Hugde (Benoit Poelvoorde) who has been chastised as of late for his cold and icy approach to others. Angelique’s beauty and excellent chocolate-making skills intimidate Jean-Rene. This film is a delicious comedy with an assortment of characters that are sure to bring a smile to anyone who has known the awkwardness of love.
