Young Writers’ Fair for Students Grades 1-12 Imagine a crisp, cold Colorado morning when students and teachers gather to uncover their creative writing talent buried under the pressure of school life. Our theme will allow students of all ages to explore the places and people who have shaped their lives. Specially selected Teacher Consultants from Rocky Mountain Writing Project will guide students and teachers to discover more about themselves as writers and to celebrate writing. The Rocky Mountain Writing Project (RMWP) Writing Fair is held in late winter. Students in grades 1 - 12 who enjoy writing and reading are invited to participate. Teachers wanting to discover more about themselves as writers are invited to attend the Writers’ Workshop for teachers. The registration fee is $25.00 per participant which includes snacks, lunch, a writers’ notebook, and an anthology. This event provides participants with an opportunity to explore their talents as writers and have the chance to collaborate and socialize with writers outside of their classes and schools. Young writers, grades 6th-9th wishing to continue this writing experience are invited to attend the Summer Young Writers’ Camp.
