Teachers will perform all 12 Biology labs as well as discuss curriculum issues, strategies, and new course content. Since this is a lab course, you will be required to attend some evening sessions and be in class from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day of the Institute. You will need to devote extra time in the lab in In order to complete the 12 labs within the week long institute. We will make it worth your while.

Students will have the option of enrolling in either a two-credit or three-credit Biology Institute. Those students wanting three credits would be required to submit their AP* Biology year-long calendar, content material, and laboratories to the workshop facilitators, within one month following the completion of the Institute. UNC staff will then give feedback to the teachers' newly developed curriculum. In addition, participants will be required to attend and complete the technology night of the Institute (Wed. June 25). Those who register for the two credit section will be billed $595 while the extra one credit will cost an additional $100.
