Undergraduate Research Support Grants
The Undergraduate Research Support Grant has been established to support the research of undergraduate students across all departments and colleges at UNC. Both undergraduate students and faculty may apply for the Undergraduate Research Support Grant.
Students and faculty may request up to $1000 in grant money. All requests must be justified in the budget. Applicants may receive partial or full funding.
Students applying for funding or receiving support from a faculty member must be undergraduates enrolled in at least 6 credits during the semester that the funds will be used. If funds will be used during the summer the student must be enrolled in classes for the following fall semester. No alumnae, regardless of when the student graduated, are eligible for grant funds.
Students conducting original research projects may apply for a grant to support the following types of initiatives:
- Conference Travel
- Research Travel
- Research Stipend
- Research Supplies (general lab equipment excluded)
Rolling Application Deadline. Application deadline TBD. Research funding is limited and will be awardede first come first served.
