Strategic Planning - A Student Perspective

“There are some fantastic things happening within our center, and a bright future for us is on the horizon.”

~Patrick Risk

With the end of summer looming, an HSL strategic planning committee was established this August within the comfort of the Sodbuster Inn of Greeley. This committee is dedicated to reworking the definition, “What is the Center for Honors, Scholars, and Leadership?” The committee worked to redefine the Center and its purpose on the UNC campus and within the community. During the last few years, HSL has seen an extreme increase in the drive of students to become civically engaged citizens and to give service well beyond themselves. This committee is hoping to capture this drive and press forward with a redefined Center for Honors, Scholars, and Leadership. The HSL Strategic Planning Committee has met three times this semester and is planning another meeting for the second week in December.
