International Film Series News
For years I've flirted around with the ideas of taking a higher-level position in on our of campus' many organizations. At one point I could have fought for the position of GM for the radio station, and at another I seemed to be on the track to become president of RHA, but the only position that seemed to be for me was the position I hold today, the Student Director of the International Film Series. I can only say that, in some ways, it's been more hard work then I expected, and, in others, not as much. Either way, it's been just as exciting and fulfilling as I had imagined it would be, and that is due largely to the people I'm lucky enough to work with. From Kaye Holman, Carol Lucero, and April Miller to Melissa Jeffries, Alicia Smith, Kaitlyn Natelli, Jeremey Lefevre, and Billy Hahn, all of the people I work closely with have helped me in innumerable ways, and I'll forever be grateful for their assistance. There are so many other people working behind the scenes, such as Loree Crow who helped out with the website or Jay Dinges who was just an all around great guy, that I'll probably never be able to make a full list of all the people who, in some way, shape, or form, help to make the International Film Series a reality.
Being the Director of the International Film Series is hard. Well, it's hard for me anyway. There have been ups and downs, but all in all it's been a pretty stellar experience, and I'm glad to have another semester in which to experience the hardships and rewards that are just a part of being the Student Director of an organization.
